A Rockefeller initiated the first monumental public art collection
in the country, which is coomprised of ninety-two paintings,
sculptures and tapestries created by some of the most important
artists of the twentieth century, including Jackson Pollock,
Mark Rothko, David Smith and many others, on view in the Empire
State Plaza.
