When he lived here in the 1970s, Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller installed his collection of 20th century sculpture throughout the Beaux-Arts gardens, including works by Henry Moore, Louise Nevelson, Pablo Picasso, Alexnader Calder, David Smith, Isamu Noguchi,and many others. The subterranean art galleries include Picasso tapestries, as well as portraits of Governor and Mrs. Rockefeller by Andy Warhol.
