American art on view relates to Glenview, a Victorian river home that is part of the museum complex, as well as to the Hudson River Valley region. Glenview's restored rooms feature paintings by Vedder, Prentice, and Gifford. Lifflander Galleries show landscapes by Cropsey Durant, Colman, Shattuck, Inness, Brevoort, Bristol, Tyler, Murphy and Insley. The Red Grooms' Book Store (1979) offers gifts, books and toys.
